New fish born in our aquarium

Ruby has spotted three new guppy fry. They are now at least several days old. This makes the third batch with one or more survivors. The last few sets have been doing better, since I bought the plastic breeding grass (Ruby didn't want live aquarium plants).

When they are so tiny, they are little dark dots (where the eyes and brain are) with little nearly transparent bodies. You can't tell whether they are male or female, or what color they will show later.

Ruby gets a big smile when she looks at them, and she speaks to the fish. (Something like, "Momma's coming to feed her babies," before she drops in the fish food flakes.):D:P:P

Why would she not want live aquarium plants? I love natural aquaria!
