Printer HP Deskjet D4160 not working
It is not working.
The HP "Image" software says it is not even connected. I have tried unplugging it and plugging it in again, both power supply and USB cable.
Last week, one of the lights on the printer that is supposed to give steady light when all is well and ready, was blinking, but the "power on" light
was steady. Yesterday, I noticed nothing is lit up.
While it was not working but one of the lights was blinking, I was wondering if I had a poor USB connection (perhaps a glitchy cord, or perhaps a poor
connection at one of the sockets. Now, I am wondering if the problem is in the power supply. Perhaps it formerly had a bad data connection, and now
it has a power supply problem as well.
Or, do you think I am barking up the wrong tree?
What do you think? What should I do?

No power light suggests no power. Could be the lead or the fuse or the switch, My printer here has a dodgy power socket on the printer but I cant
work out how to take the case off to re-solder the socket to the board.

A friend of mine had a similar hassle.
Is the USB device set to shut power off? (Have a look in device manager, to check).
