very concerned by his behavior

I have a 3 year old min schnauzer and we are on holiday renting a bungalow which he has been to on many occasions,
yesterday I heard him going bonkers in the conservatory when I went to investigate he was stood on his back legs going mad at a black metal hook used for hanging plant tubs on the ceiling

Since then he has done the same to the bedroom centre light,
a wall light in the lounge and a mark on the outside wall,
has anyone a clue as to why he has started doing this as we have been here over a week and he only started yesterday.

Perhaps the bungalow is haunted ?
Animals are often very sensitive to such things.

Alternatively, maybe he's fed up and wants to go home.
