Missed shot

This guy was standing majestically, like he was posing, in my front yard at 10:15AM this morning.
I grabbed the Nikon and ran out on the front porch and could have had the most awesome photo since he was only about 25 - 30 feet away at that time...
BUT my camera card was on my desk - arrrgggghhhhhhh
Of course after he saw/heard me he didn't wait for me to go get it:(
So this is what I got after he went out back to go into the woods
too far away to get a good shot - I have many fantastic opportunities but always the worst luck

Still fabulous scenery and flavour of the moment though. Maybe keep your camera by the door just in case he comes back?

Thanks Mary -
will definitely make sure the card is IN it from now on;)
Just put a brand new bigger one in

BUT
I so wish I could have gotten this one when I first saw him out front - his head was held high and his black coat was glistening in the sunlight.
He was like a big beautiful statue.
It would have been a most awesome shot definitely worthy of a big printout and framing.

There were three in our backyard last week.
A young bull, a cow and a small one. (too far away to get decent photos though)
Two days later the mom and the babe were back and they were "frolicking".
Too funny - they are so big and gangly.
