Your own tv internet what?

Do you mean that you want to set up a station, a forum or to allow people to stream live tv from other providers using their own internet connections?

Don't worry about hardware your greatest expense will be bandwidth, you'll need to figure out a subscriber model and also be chary of Mafiaa (RIAA, BPI) for copyright infringement.

You'll probably need a dedicated server, and work small to build up. Research YouTube and Vimeo they're the two leaders in this industry at present.
