Not attempted photography through a telescope, but, if memory serves me correctly, and I'm talking 20 odd years ago now, there were barlow adaptors that allowed you to connect an SLR (camera to you gunslingers) to your telescope. The whole setup was not particularly cheap and really for those who were extremely passionate about their astronomy. I'd suggest that things are much easier today with digital photography and you may even download your image to the computer in real time as all you'd need is a "camera" connected to the telescope.

I must invest in a telescope one day, eldest son kept his when he left home. Our place is great for stargazing, not too much light pollution in our back yard and precious little (nil) only about a kilometre down the road!
