Listen up fatso .......

You're not obese, you're fat!

So, deal with it.

Do you think that sort of approach would work?

Nope. Fat is a BIG (pun intended) problem which needs to be tackled - if it is socially unacceptable to be grossly fat would this have a positive effect?

Prosecuting parents for allowing their young children to get fat is also a possibility - it is child abuse. I spoke to one parent who told me it is their childs "right" to eat what they like (i.e fizzy sugar drinks and pizza and chips); I think it is the childs right to grow up healthy and fit into adulthood.
