Pretty much accords with my view.

Both my daughter and wife have been migrated to GNU/Linux and do not have any problems with it. My son insists on Windows 7 and yesterday got that loverly new virus which takes over your machine, task manager, internet etc. (thank Malwarebytes for sorting it). Needless to say if he was running my hardened installation of Ubuntu he would not have had the issue.

One of the big problems with Linux is that some of the software designed for Windows won't run properly using Wine.

This can be a major off put for anyone that has paid good money to purchase Window compatible software over the years.
