IE8 Problems

I use Chrome but rest of family use IE8.
Not sure whats happened but it just won't open.
In task manager iexplore.exe is there. I've tried reinstalling but same thing.
I can't open without add ons either.
Anyone any ideas?

Thanks- I did find that article but now thanks to BT I have had no phone line and therefore broadband for last 2 days.
Fingers crossed for today and I'll give some of those things a go.
