It would seem that the Tea Party were also embarrassed by the actions of some of their members. The sign is, indeed, disgraceful. I hope that the party's image is not too tarnished as a result. (sorta like one rotten apple tainting the whole bunch.)

Since the Tea Party movement is a movement, and not actually a political party, it does not have members. Some Tea Party people are Republicans, some are Independents, and some are Democrats. Some are social conservatives, while others only hold to the position (in common with conservatives) that our government taxes us too much.
