IDE to SATA
hi guys
i went out on a limb last week and bought 2 IDE to SATA converters. i fixed these to my IDE drives and pluged them into the SATA connectors on my
motherboard and started the pc up. it just got through the POST and then stopped.
so, i took them out and googled my situation and got nothing.
i visited my motherboards website, nothing.
is there some incantation or sacrafice i have to make to get the converters working?
please can you help?
thanks

A link of what you bought, and what you've connected them to will be helpful really, if possible...?
Also, although impossible to be sure at this stage, it may be that Windows (XP?) is now looking for SATA drivers...
But more info needed really.

nothing wrong with it or the mobo, power the pc go into bios and in the first section you make sure your mob sees your hard drive and enabled then in
advance section also make sure your boot order is set to that drive first boot then save and exit.
