Pied Drummer

This image was taken at the opening of the outdoor "secret trail" at the local Head Start/Early Childhood center.

The man with the hand drum leading the kids and adults on a parade (complete with noisemakers) through the new outdoor classroom is the president of the local Rotary chapter, which paid for the "music room" in the facility.

Sometimes I just love my job! How often do you get to see kids and adults having fun in something as simple as being silly.

I know how you feel! I would love to have been there, too. Our new daughter in law has just traveled across Oz by road on her honeymoon and is absolutely excited. She'd never been more than a hundred miles north of home before. We'd love to have seen her wonder at the changes on the road as she traveled north. We've done the same trip so many times that we know what she's talking about. The outback is something to be experienced.
