Morose or Practical

I came to mind the other night after Scholar had posted about one of his friends dying!

The PC has become a way of life for millions around the globe.

How many of those millions are elderly and live alone. Using KF as an example, over time we make friends and in a special way become close to other posters.
What happens when a fellow poster dies if he is a loner. how would we find out about our friends demise?

Is there not a call for a site were you could register that would some how inform interesting parties of someones passing, ie post a notice on KF if he was a member.

Just a thought.

Regards the Bear

Interesting idea Bear but one I've not thought about before. I'm not sure that such a service exists as most people have at least one other person to deal with such matters. Mmm - anyone know of such a thing?

I've heard of a Rapture site, where one can leave messages to be automatically sent if none of the Christians who maintain the site check in to block the automated message sending. (I hold that the Rapture doctrine is a false understanding of a Scripture that speaks of the the Lord gathering the Christians to escort Him to earth for Judgement Day.

Bear's idea seems simple enough that I would think someone would have implemented it. I'll see if I can find such a site. . .
