Something very curious has happened to my email - my inbox has emptied itself. Yesterday there were about 10 read mails in there - today there is nothing.

Not only that - but I am not receiving mail. Thunderbird is my current default - but I have just tried looking in Outlook Express, still nothing.

I have sent myself a test mail about 30 mins ago - nothing received, and I know of at least two other mails that were sent to me today that have not arrived.

My accounts are correctly set up and have been working fine until this morning, and my internet connections are, obviously, still working.

Would a system restore sort it ?

I doubt it very much . Hotmail Yahoo Inbox and Google would be a better bet . If you have a system crash and lose your hard drive your mail goes with it . Happened to me several times ,so all I use now are Hotmail and Gmail :)

Somebody here in KF recently warned us that Microsoft had announced Outlook Express would no longer be supported (would no longer work) after a certain date.

Ah, here it is. Sgath Faolan warned us
