Well done Exeter

Well done to Exeter for winning promotion to Div 1, allthough they missed a penalty they hung on for a 1 v 0 win in Yorkshire, the home of John.

United (our magnificent Reds) sent a reserve team to Borough and won 2 v 0 nearly champions for the third season in siuccesion.

Not an afternoon for the faint hearted Grecian...!

The amount of penalties we've messed up this season means we could have been champions a week or two ago. I might be wrong, but I think that miss today might've taken us into double figures for missed spot kicks... shocked_yellow

Anyway, that's by the by... We are going up, say we are going up! ;)

A great day, my heart was pounding, I was edgy, nervous, sick feeling, and pacing the shed (my radio is in the shed). I think I'll need to check the insulation out there tomorrow, because when that goal went in, I went sodding mental...! Then the nerves really kicked in once we'd scored...! :D The last five minutes were horrific.

Immensely proud tonight, an amazing achievement given our budget, location and where we were just 5/6 years ago as a club. Truly fantastic. Those dark days of '03 make it all the sweeter though. kewl_glasses (For those that don't know, we nearly went out of business, and our "chairmen" were crooks, and later prosecuted for fraud after asset stripping the club basically. We are now owned and run by, us, the fans.) kewl_glasses

Big job next year mind, very big. But given we have THE best manager outside the premier league, we're in safe hands, providing he doesn't get tempted away from us.

'Tiz good to be a Grecian tonight, really good. kewl_glasses :D kewl_glasses :D

Thanks Charles. waveysmiley
