Here's a change -- PREVENTIVE maintainence questions!



One: Where on the MS site do you get the recovery console for XP?

Two: Anyone here use Kaspersky AntiVirus 2009? I'm not feeling confident in the AV that came with System Suite 9 after Spybot found 69 nasties on a sweep the other night. Trend allowed whatever whacked my computer in to do its deed, so it's out. I need something that has a 3-license version, preferably. From my research, Kaspersky seems to fit the bill.

If you can make a strong case for another AV, please do so.

You don't. You boot from the install CD and access it, from there.

Saves "File is in use" problems.
