House on TV

I simply like this programme and I think Hugh Laurie plays House very well . but I do find two criticisms to air about the show first I cant undrstand their American accents and the constant music being played over some of the speech, I do not find any difficulty with other American tv shows but the words I find in House are slurred together very quickly leaving me fuming at my own inadequacies of not being able to understand English even a patois version, I have the most difficulty with Dr Cameron slurring her words. Does any one this side of the pond have the same difficulty or is just me ? jmb

Jmb, a simple solution--have your TV display the closed captioning, while the sound is on. The displayed words should help you distinguish what the actors are saying.

(I do hope you have captions available on British TV. I could hardly believe you would let the US get ahead of you on that, when you have been ahead of us in some other areas.;))

If Kitten reads this, she may have a comment about captioning. Since she is deaf, I presume she uses the captions all the time, if she presently has TV.:)

Yes, I do use captions all the time, and House is captioned. :)
