Study finds dogs have a sense of fairness

One article about it.

Another, from national public radio.

Dogs have a sense of fairness.
Quote:
But if one dog gets no reward, and then sees another get sausage for doing the same trick, just try to get the first one to do it again.
In another version of the story, I heard that dogs act as if jealous when faced with favoritism toward another dog.

I also heard that dogs who have gotten treats will withdraw to allow others to get a turn at getting treats.:)

Perhaps the souls of dogs are more like humans, than are the souls of some other creatures.

What do you think--
--of the study?
--of this subject in general?

Do you have any stories to share?

Our dog used to line up for icecream. He'd happily wait in line, but woe betide anyone who tried to push in!
