Kennel Cough

I had a week's break form 2-9th August, like any good "mommy" I had my dogs fully innoculated with kennel cough jabs, anti flea/anti tick anti everything before putting them in kennels.
Jack however seems to have no resistance to kennel cough (or maybe the treatment).
He started the coughing about a week later (16th Aug) He is now on his 2nd course of antibiotics and pain killing syrup.

Apparantly there are four different strains of the virus and no blanket antibiotic for them all. So it's systematically go through an antibiotic for each strain.
It's quite upsetting for me to listen to him cough day and night, Heaven only knows what strain its making on his little body.
I vow from this day on never to put my little ones in Kennels again :(

Yes, Jack's a dog, and the cough? well if you can imagine whooping cough in a baby, it's similar.
At the moment he sounds like a 60 a day smoker with a chest infection.:( His ribs and throat must be quite sore by now/
