Pets and the heat

I hate to be thought harsh, but 7 is sulking. I've refused to leave the freezer open so she can sit in front of it. :}

I've held her and stroked her and tried to get her to understand that the fan is a GOODTHING(tm) but to no avail.

I've given her, over the course of the day, a couple of ice cubes to play with (see happy cat, "I has an ice!!").

But she still thinks I should keep the freezer open for the purposes of cat-cooling.

If it's hot where you are, how are your pets dealing?

Janet, I don't think cats appreciate fans much because of their lack of sweat glands on their furred areas.

Other than leaving the freezer open, perhaps Seven would be satisfied with a small air conditioner pushing cold air directly onto her.;) If you must buy one for this purpose, I would guess it is OK with her.greengrin

I expect my next pets to be aquarium fish. They don't seem to mind the heat or humidity.:D
