Apparently, there's a growing trend to ban children from weddings.

Yes, no. Depends on who the children were. My daughter was banned at one wedding when she was a baby so THOSE children would be banned at hers lol. Apart from that, I would ban children from anything that they weren't mature enough to sit through quietly - films, theatre...

See, to me, weddings are about the declaration of vows in front of a community - and that community includes children. I can't imagine banning them, (but then, I can't imagine marrying again, either). Banning anyone baptised from any church service is just theologically indefensible, to me...
