I think he's the same man he's always been - but that when he was, as it were, a "man under authority" he did precisely what was wanted of him.
Now that he's in the authoritative role, he seems to have taken a good few years to get the hang of it, and is now fulfilling the role as he sees
fit. He's made some mistakes (being human, that goes with the territory) and I may well not agree with everything he does, but I suspected when he
was elected that he would do little of note for a couple of years...
