I used to meditate a lot when I was about 12, after we learned about Buddhism at school.
I think my teacher was converting at the time, so most of our PE lessons wound down with meditation, and I did a lot at home.

These days, instead of clearing my mind, I pathwork or astral travel.

Frequently - a number of different forms.

I was very highly amused a number of years ago to read in a book that meditation was an occult practice which had been handed down in secret until the world was ready for it... (the book was saying how wonderful it was that we could all learn it now).

I thought seriously of buying a rosary for the author and sending it to her, with an explanation of what it was to be used for...
