Feast days for predators

Temperatures are rising enough that long-exiled predators are apparently set to return to the Antarctic...

It's a situation that will call for careful handling, I suspect. There will be those who insist that we save as much of the original habitat as possible - but the only way of doing that (I suspect) would somehow be to prevent the predators returning...?

But is that, in itself, "ecologically sound"?

Good point, Janet.

Although a solid supporter of the fear of global warming brigade, I do accept that I don't necessarily know what's ultimately good for the planet.

Considering the damage we have inflicted already, who are we to judge what is the best thing to do?

Having said that, if I was a penguin, I might be glad of a bit of intervention.
