Network Monitor Tool anybody?
Windows Server has something out of the box called Network Monitor. I was wondering if there are any realiable tools any of you have downloaded to use
to monitor and analyze packet traffic..I guess something like a sniffer.
Pancake just helped me get rid of some nasties on my machine. I would like to monitor the network for a few days and ever so often to see if
information isn't going anywhere its not supposed to....
Google gave me these results :
1) Active Network Monitor (http://www.devicelock.com/anm/)
2) Netmon (http://www.netmon.ca/solutions/networkmonitoring/land/traffic )
3) Activeworx Security Center
4) colasoft capsa (http://www.colasoft.com/download/products/capsa.php?click=free_download#capsa)
Well most of these are expensive..I htink corporate type soultions. I was wondering if you folks have used something that like a freeware or
inexpensive that I could use to do something similar.
Cheers,

Capsa is something worth trying, I've purchased a professional version at only $299, quite acceptable comparing with other sniffers. If you only want
to monitor network traffic, I would recommend EtherLook, also from Colasoft.

Have a look over at NoNags and do a search with your
critiria... I'd be amazed if they haven't got any freebies listed...
