Microsoft Charity licensing...?

A local charity I used to be involved with, and I still look after their computers for them, are considering an upgrade to XP as they've been given some decent quality spec'd hardware, which would improve their setup... And would make the life of the office staff easier... And secure data better...

Can anybody advise where I can start looking please? Pheonix software seem to have a good price for XP Pro, but having dealt with them previously, the admin is reluctant to use them again, as they were very expensive last time they used them and were ripped off quite badly for an AV product... (Before my time)

Is it worth bothering with a Charity license at all, or maybe just buy the number of XP (Home) CD's required...? (3)

Linux, in this case, is not an option...

Any advice...? (....T, Faolan?)

i dont understand why would you or a charity organization think of buying winxp now??

why not give linux a chance, theyre free and much more stable than xp.
they are also free of viruses and all of their applications are free.

also their support is way better than microsoft

may i recommend, vixta, ubuntu, kubuntu, fluxbuntu, opensuse, fedora... the list goes on.

No, you may not recommend them, because I said in the OP it wasn't an option. simple as...!

Linux isn't suitable everywhere, and sadly, this is one of them.
