Frames (Frameset)

Well, here are the beginnings of the new site http://www.merelitfest.co.uk . Is there an argument for using frames in these circumstances?

Possibly. Or if you want to embed the frame with the changing content to the right use an IFRAME.

Personally I am now using AJAX to refresh the content of a DIV rather than repaint any window/frame. So in this case the menus on the left would call an XMLHttpRequest from the page javascript to replace the innerHTML in your 'centrecontent' DIV.

Can you point me towards a suitable AJAX tutorial?
