Dispensing Chemists

can anybody tell me how Dispensing Chemists get reinbursted for making up a customers prescription? as some have multiple items on them.
How much is charged out to them per item from the NHS?

Also most Chemists have now constructed a private area for customer consulations in line with NHS guidelines that encourage people to consult thier chemist as a first line of defence, this being an attempt to take pressure off the GP service.
Does the chemist also get paid for such consultations?

Is there a governing body that holds sway over chemists?

Any relevant information recieved with thanks.

No idea Bear, our local Chemist is very approachable, I could ask him, but the answer wouldn't mean much to you.
