waveysmiley Welcome, Mark.

I don't have enough knowledge of new hardware to help you, but we have several people here who do. Several of our techie members live in the United Kingdom, where it is a little before 7 a.m., so they might not post their replies until later in the day. (Sometimes we get lighter traffic here on the weekends, and heavier during the week, too.) Many of our guys build their own when they need a new machine, so they will definitely have some opinions and will not be shy to share them.

Are you mainly asking for an evaluation of the parts you've chosen, or are you trying to get suggestions for where to get them (as in directions to a website selling them, or something like that?).

I have mostly gotten stuff at computer fairs, where I pick out what seems the best value among the parts offered there, which I can afford. I have financial constraints which require me to set my sights lower than yours.

Good luck!waveysmiley
