Feline Ode for Mama Bear

On Getting Older.
By Alexander Gray

He blinks upon the hearth rug
And yawns in deep content
Accepting all the comforts
That Providence has sent

Loud he purrs and louder
In one glad hymn of praise
For all the nights adventures
For quiet restful days

Life will go on for ever
With all that cat can wish
Warmth and the glad procession
Of fish and milk and fish

Only!... the thought disturbs him
he's noticed once or twice
The times are somehow breeding
A nimbler breed of mice

Regards the Bear

A fine poem, wonderful to read.

May I suggest the mods move it to the Petshop? :)

This is one of those "either or" posts. Bear chose to put it in general chat, I see no reason to move it? confused2
