Banks and timescales



Why, in this point, click print age, does it take a bank 4 to 6 weeks to send duplicate statement out?
Or even 5-7 "working" days to credit a cheque?
I rarely use a cheque on my account but notice they still take a week to process???

Methinks there is a conspiracy lol

This is true however in countries where the banks do inter-bank transfers the same day the current accounts cost money!!!!

ps: With the banks loosing billions in the sub-prime credit derivatives, don't expect quick inter-banking to happen soon
