Aye, Robin van Persie would have sorted them out.

It's city , arsenal and Chelsea who are the foreign teams, they should restrict each club to four foreign players, that would sort the afomentioned out.

John Barnes - 18-6-2014 at 18:45

Yes Charles blah , blah , blah, keep up the good work and cheer leading :P

You call the World Cup FOOTBALL?

Now THIS is how the sport should be played!

nananana

Redwolf5150 - 19-6-2014 at 23:55

In case you are wondering what the heck does Redwolf know about football

marymary100 - 19-6-2014 at 23:58

Yes because it is played with the feet. Throw-ball/run-ball is what y'all play. ;)

John Barnes - 20-6-2014 at 19:45

We have always wanted England to play like Spain, now they have and every one moans lol

marymary100 - 20-6-2014 at 19:57

So, they think it's all over...

John Barnes - 20-6-2014 at 22:42

Well it is now Mary, we were rubbish despite all the paper talk all that's left now is for me to shout for Andy Murray on Monday, I hope he does well but there are so many good players now and the Serb and the Spanish guy are so much better than the rest. Well here's hoping the world loves an optimist (I think, no I am not Renee Descartes)

marymary100 - 20-6-2014 at 23:01

I would actually have liked it if England had won. I was down in London the last world cup and the atmosphere in the pubs was amazing. The atmosphere in York was also electric when they showed Wimbledon last year as well.

charles - 21-6-2014 at 17:32

English football is an utter disgrace

Katzy - 21-6-2014 at 20:47

They should've given Harry the job.

Some weird results, thus far (Except England going home so soon). Ghana came close to stuffing Germany! Who'd've thought?

Katzy - 22-6-2014 at 19:58

The wife said to me, "Whenever a World Cup game is on, let's eat something to do with that team for dinner that night."

When Mexico played, we had burritos.

Japan, we had sushi.

USA, we had burgers.

Italy, we had pizza.

Tuesday was England, so went out. :D

For the first time in many a year I am in concordance with my old mate. English football is rubbish and it cant be all the various managers fault over the years its the players
shocked_yellow

charles - 23-6-2014 at 15:18

You are right John, I think the problem is that there are to many foreigners in our game, we have lads playing amateur football who are just as good as our millionaire footballers and never get a chance, I suggest no more than 4 foreigners per club.
and bring a division five into the game so we can see more English lads

John Barnes - 23-6-2014 at 16:38

Yes Charles two agreements in one post this could be a precedent. See I can be rational over something I know less than you do.
(not being a special football pundit)

LSemmens - 24-6-2014 at 00:16

Watch him, Charles, he's buttering you up for the "can you spot me a fiver, mate?", question.

John Barnes - 24-6-2014 at 14:12

Are you Lobby Ludd? if so I claim my fiver. haha more chance of me taking a trip to Old Trafford for tea than Charles spotting me for fiver. lol

waffler - 26-6-2014 at 19:28

USA lose to Germany but go thru to next round on goal average :D

marymary100 - 26-6-2014 at 19:41

All credit to the US. To get out of that group took some doing and they will give Belgium a real test. I have them in the sweep.

John Barnes - 26-6-2014 at 20:15

The longer USA are in the tournament the better for Football (soccer) as it will spark more interest in the States, good on them we might be lucky and get an American Charles bragging from across the pond and take the cross from my shoulders, lol

marymary100 - 26-6-2014 at 20:26

Moan U just got a new midfielder I see.

LSemmens - 26-6-2014 at 23:36

An "underdog" team, like the US in this comp, is always good for any sport. Look at what the Jamaicans did for bob-sled.

John Barnes - 28-6-2014 at 16:51

City did so much buying that they have been penalised for it, we have only bought one or two. (Yet)

waffler - 30-6-2014 at 12:03

All roads lead to Moan U :D

waffler - 30-6-2014 at 12:06

Looking for a good result against Belgium tomorrow . Will be in the airport when the game is on so maybe have a chance to see some of it on the tv :)

Katzy - 1-7-2014 at 09:33

England have got some new sponsors! :D

waffler - 1-7-2014 at 20:14

Watchin USA v Belgium in Atlanta airport ✈✈✈

marymary100 - 1-7-2014 at 22:28

I was at a bar tonight with about a dozen women and a solitary man. When he left the table to get himself a drink we were talking books, by the time he came back with his pint our conversation had turned to Suarez and the World Cup in general. He said he thought he had slipped into a parallel universe to find all these Scottish women talking football and knowing what was going on. :D

marymary100 - 2-7-2014 at 13:34

Tim Howard

LSemmens - 3-7-2014 at 00:56

Germany scored two more goals in this game alone than England did in their past two World Cups combined.

marymary100 - 9-7-2014 at 19:31

At least we didn't riot in the streets when we lost...just had a nice cup of tea.

candy from a baby

Katzy - 9-7-2014 at 20:54

That's some goal, innit?

I think we were all expecting to get knocked out, quickly, here.

marymary100 - 9-7-2014 at 21:05

One of the sweeps I was involved in was how quickly 1966 would enter the vocabulary of the English pundits. I think I guessed under a minute. :)

waffler - 11-7-2014 at 01:20

Was hoping it would be Germany Holland :(

marymary100 - 13-7-2014 at 01:06

I tried to change my password to "Brazildefence" but Hotmail said it was too weak...
