5 big points
John Barnes - 13-2-2008 at 00:50

What a delight when I perused the latest league tables to see the mighty Arsenal leading way out in front with a mighty big 5 point lead making the nearest club to them look like also rans. by the way it looks at the moment they could be wrapping the league up, jmb shocked_yellow

Oh, John, that's a poor attempt at winding old Charles up... Surely you can do better than that...

I wish my team were five points behind in the table... I'd be quite happy with that...! :(

Ah, soccer, 25 men running around without a clue as to what's going on.

No, football... We're in England yes? So it'd definitely be football... :P :D

It's really not a complicated game, would you like someone to help you with understanding the game...? John really seems to know his stuff... May be he'd like to start...? :D lips_sealed

;)

Yes it was a mild attempt but you have to be careful as Charles is under the doctor and I don't want to be held responsible for any unseen consequences , we have to be more gentle with the old gentleman at his time of life and state of health, we dont want any burst blood vessels. jmb

You have my permission to gloat away, it is no more than Charles used to do, he was the best gloater on the forum but of late he has not had a lot gloat about, tough still no one wins every thing all time, not even we know who. jmbshocked_yellow

At my prep school we always played soccer in the Christmas term and hockey in the Easter term (no Rugby football for us) and that was on the Isle of Thanet which isn't really an island so definitely part of the UK. As that was the last time I had any real contact with the sport I continue to refer to it as soccer. :P

Soccer? Isn't that he game that school kids play where they punch a girl and run away before she can catch them.
