Billionaires secretly funding research to break us out of the Matrix

Quote:

Some of the world’s richest and most powerful people are convinced that we are living in a computer simulation. And now they’re trying to do something about it.
At least two of Silicon Valley’s tech billionaires are pouring money into efforts to break humans out of the simulation that they believe that it is living in, according to a new report.
Philosophers have long been concerned about how we can know that our world isn’t just a very believable simulation of a real one. But concern about that has become ever more active in recent years, as computers and artificial intelligence have advanced...

Prove life is real.

Prove that it isn't.

Hmmm..."At least two of Silicon Valley’s tech billionaires are pouring money".

Apparently the "pouring money" metaphor has something to do with a drain in a sink. I for one will volunteer, of my own free will, to be a stopper in that drain and collect all the monies that are headed in that direction as my contribution to their cause.

They can simply mail me their checks (thus eliminating the middle man), and I would also hope that their generosity extends to paying the taxes on said monies (not like some billionaire whose name that I won't mention).

Perhaps the axiom "no good deed goes unpunished" is, after all, wrong if they will only share with those less fortunate; since they are billionaires, that's quite a sizeable group of humanity (the less fortunate that is).

I cannot guarantee that I will share my good fortune with the ALL the other posters on this board. But I will dangle the carrot that is a technical possibility that is a real as life itself.

If I'm not real, where did this hangover come from?

Time is an illusion. Especially lunch time.

Time is a man made concept, too.

I know that money is an illusion. I think I've seen it, but it never seems to some my way.confused2
