I'm listening to a radio interview with a woman who went in to see a doctor because she had abdominal pains. She thought perhaps she had a cyst.
The doctors discovered she was 37 weeks pregnant!
She went home, VERY SURPRISED, because she had not thought she was pregnant (and, she'd had one child previously). Also, she had continued to have
her monthly visitor. (That was the way it was said on the radio.) The father first thought her to be kidding, then was SHOCKED.
Doctors examining the results of the tests (which included an ultrasound) telephoned her and advised her to come in for a C-section the next day,
because the fluid was low. She did, and had a 7 pound 5 ounces boy.
Imagine that, ladies--pains one day, a baby boy the next!

You going for MotD. Scholar may I suggest you edit a few of them out.
BTW I think you have had quads.
scholar - 22-12-2007 at 00:28
Victor, I was MotD already.
However, the quad post was not only a mistake, I thought it to be an impossible mistake, insofar as all 4 were stamped with the same minute. The last
I knew, I thought the timer to stop double posts was set at 30 seconds.
Since I don't have moderator powers, I could take words out of a post, but I could not take it off the list. I thank whichever mod did so.
(Marymary was on the list. I know Sgath usually lurks if he is here.)

Not a problem

Over the years I have seen many cases of women giving birth and not realising they were pregnant reported in the press. One can only put it down to
peoples ignorance of the birds and the bees.
But I am sure that one of our female members will enlighten us as to why it happens.

Use the on him, Dot!
That'll learn 'im.
scholar - 22-12-2007 at 00:41
Thank you, Dot. I didn't see your name until after the refresh.
Dreamweaver - 22-12-2007 at 00:43
For sure lol.
Are you getting used to the avatar yet Giron?
victor - 22-12-2007 at 00:46
Why pick Ertha Kit tarred and feathered as an avatar?
giron - 22-12-2007 at 00:49
The avatar is excellent, in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't win a valuable prize for the best festive avatar.

I think as she has one child already, she knows of the birds and bees But
it is said that each pregnancy in some women get progressively easy. It's all to do with how her body reacted to it TBH.
If (say for instance) she only gained a little weight and all her other bodily functions carried on as before her pregnancy, she could have thought it
was post baby fat, or as in this case she thought it was a cyst.
It also could depend on her age. Theres so many reasons really lol.
giron - 22-12-2007 at 00:53
That's cockney rhyming slang, if I'm not mistaken.
You should be jolly well ashamed of yourself, this is a respectable, family forum!
Sort him out Dot.

----Good grief! Isn't it a live web-cam shot?
I thought it wasn't moving much because of my slow connection.
janet - 22-12-2007 at 00:56
I frequently forgot I was having our second - I knew I was pregnant but that was about it.
It's not that unusual for women to be unaware they're pregnant till fairly late on, if they're not trying for a baby (or afraid of one!).
And bleeding while pregnant isn't that unusual, either.
I suspect most people know what causes babies - being unaware of a pregnancy doesn't mean being unaware of the process by which one becomes pregnant.
giron - 22-12-2007 at 00:57
That ought to put the willies up him!
giron - 22-12-2007 at 01:00
What about the so called Virgin Mary?
Dreamweaver - 22-12-2007 at 01:03
She may well not have been aware of the process, but she was aware of the pregnancy
victor - 22-12-2007 at 01:06
I hope not. I don't think there is anyone else in the house but Mrs V. and myself.
Yes D.W. I can understand what you are saying after an unfortunate experience that MrsV had that ended the chances of us increasing our family.
giron - 22-12-2007 at 01:09
Answer me this, I've been suffering from abdominal pains, am I pregnant, of is it just trapped wind?
victor - 22-12-2007 at 01:11
As Scholar would put it gas.
victor - 22-12-2007 at 01:14
Or worse still Diverticulitis.
giron - 22-12-2007 at 01:18
Panic over, I've just farted.
victor - 22-12-2007 at 01:21
I wondered what the smell was.
You been at the curries with Mr Pattel.
giron - 22-12-2007 at 01:35
Mr Pattel hasn't been seen for several months now.
As far as I'm aware, the police have a warrant out for his arrest.
Redwolf5150 - 22-12-2007 at 03:34
I think MINE is more festive than yours.
the bear - 22-12-2007 at 07:26
Is he still wanted for ABH, you know inflicting curry burns and papadom lacerations?
Regards the Bear
