There is something you might not expect on some restaurant receipts
I remember reading that garbed priests and nuns used to be able to ride public transportation for free in some large city (I don't recall if it was subways, els, buses, or street cars), but someone brought the practice to court examination, and the practice was eliminated.
It's the restaurant's prerogative to do that, they did not say that you had to give thanks to God, no do they force their staff to give the
Whilst I appreciate the thought of priests, etc, getting free public transport. I can see the reasons why the practice was discontinued as there are many others performing similar duties these days.
Now everybody will be praying at that restaurant, and the restaurant will have to stop the discount or push up the prices
