Tornado coming
scholar - 7-1-2008 at 22:57

I've got to go, a tornado is coming.

Prayers are desired.

If it doesn't do damage to this home or disrupt power, I'll be back on later.waveysmiley

you have my positive thoughts that you will be fine and receive no damage
poor you
I used to have nightmares about tornadoes

My house didn't get hit. I don't know if there was any other damage in the area. (Sometimes the weather report will say there are one or more tornadoes, but that does not mean they touch down onto the ground. I don't know how high they must stay before windows won't break, etc.) :)

Thank you, everyone.waveysmiley

There is still a tornado watch, which means another is possible. under these conditions.

Yes my friend in Arkansas is right in the middle of it

You must not be that far away from me.
AR wasn't hit that bad, but MO and IL were crushed.

We had some bad hail in Iowa, and some heavy rainfall...most of it was the severe weather, but not tornadic.

Scholar asked for prayers, seems a reasonable thing to do in a forum concerned with religion.

article about tornadoes

Oh, good grief! The writer seems to quote the dimmest people:

'Al Ost said he "prayed like a sissy" as he fled to the basement' [Yeah, the Lord really likes that attitude toward urgent prayer!]

'"With the light of day it always looks worse than at night," Falduto said.' [Yeah, because IN THE DARK YOU CAN'T SEE THE DAMAGE!]
