Failed photos

Thought I would ask on here seeing as we have some very experienced people with cameras here.
I have a batch of photos where my camera was damaged giving lines across the photo. Hopefully I have added a photo for you to see.
Most of the others are of our children.
The previews don't show these faults, so I wondered if it is possible to recover these photos from the previews, even if the quality is not as good as expected.

Ok I have forgotten how I should get a photo to show.

I suspect the image is hot-link protected, hence the stuff after the "jpg". :(

I think that worked by using a photobucket link. But I assume there is an easier way.
That is just one photo even thought it look like two very badly joined. The preview looks ok though.

RW! Calling on the "EX-SPURT"! ;)

Nope. That image is toast, for me. :(

Looks like they're using javascript, rather than just showing the image.

I got it, though. It's attached.

I used to get those occasionally with my 40D with a certain memory card.

Cleared up when I switched cards. Trashed the bad one.

As far as getting the images sorted, alas I don't know any way to do so.

Sorry.

Maybe our other experts knows more.

Ok thanks anyway.
The camera and card have been replaced already. iIwas just looking through some photos for something and remembered these and noticed that the previews did not have this fault in so thought maybe there are two copies or something.
Not really a problem as they are only snapshots of a family holiday for memories in the future and the scenes can still be made out.

I used a recover program quite effectively when a friend had deleted all his pics when I fire up the main PC l will find it, might be useful.
Although on second thoughts might not.
