August 14, 2013: "The International Space Station ~ 62 Seconds over Northern Wisconsin 10:42:23 - 10:43:25 p.m. EST"
(PROPER Prior Planning Prevents pxxx Poor Performance)
Canon 40D set at 1000 ISO with 18-55 mm lens at 18 mm and F 4.5 (stopped down two stops from wide open) exposed for 62 seconds on a tripod using a cable release.
Knowing where the ISS would be, courtesy of NASA website. This was my last night hunting meteors, and the first in a couple nights where the orbit coincided with the setting moon so I could get a GOOD streak.
The old thread was getting slow, even with MY blazing broadband.
Thanks RW, I'm going to have to wait for a moment or six before I can try night shots. Cloud cover does that to you.
I would prefer cloudy nights right now to keep some heat near the ground.
It's been down right Fall-like the last couple weeks.
CORRECTION: The times in the title for the exposure are an hour LATER than actually shot. Forgot this was the half of the year the clock in the camera is "correct."

Davina and the Vagabonds at Big Bull Falls Blues Fest, Fern Island, Wausau, WI. August 16, 2013.
This lady is ALL THAT! And she's about to play a few European dates next month!
If some of you KF'ers go see her, tell her I sent ya.
I have no idea where Bilston is.

Thats a serious sky.
Just an early Fall thunderstorm.
Which we needed. It's been dry this summer.
There was something in the news tonight about America going to run out of water in some parts because of your intense usage and dry spells. In fact they suggested that at some point in the future we will be fighting over fresh water rather than oil - eek. It's Scotland's water!
Sounds like you lot need to learn some water conservation methods.
Fairies are still hanging around.

One of SEVERAL huge lakes an hour from Merrill to the north.
This is the road through Council Grounds State Park right outside of Merrill on the Wisconsin River. This is my "Home Park" when it comes to quick
photo trips since it's 10 minutes from my house.

You live in a beautiful part of the world, RW.
It will be quite white and uninviting soon enough.
Even the white stuff can be beautiful, too. Sez he who has never seen the stuff!

First time I've seen a lot of these. They are truly excellent, Red.
