March 4, 2013: "Salt Encrusted Bumper in Wisconsin"

marymary100 - 5-3-2013 at 07:06

My car is covered in salt/grime as well but the garage I usually do a hand wash in with water jets just installed a new system that costs 4x the price so the car will be dirtier a little longer.

Redwolf5150 - 5-3-2013 at 14:25

I just liked the three bumper stickers.

:D

Redwolf5150 - 13-3-2013 at 02:06

Sign at the first gas station in Merrill if you are coming into town from the North on the snowmobile trail

It's probably the Koreans so they can make another propaganda film about hot snow meals.

It's when they pound taps into maple trees to collect sap which is boiled into syrup.

Redwolf5150 - 29-4-2013 at 16:57

Open water is FINALLY coming to the Northwoods lakes

Although the slow thaw may delay Saturday's fishing opener.

Redwolf5150 - 29-4-2013 at 19:09

Heard loons calling out in the fog. I will be back with a boat of some kind in a month or so.

LSemmens - 4-5-2013 at 00:36

Good shot!

Redwolf5150 - 4-5-2013 at 20:15

We got very lucky on this last storm.

It stayed liquid here.

West side of the state got BURIED in snow!

Redwolf5150 - 6-5-2013 at 22:56

Area rivers and streams starting to return to their normal levels

Tripod & release cable is a given, ISO of 100, Exposure of 1 second @ F22 and a polarizer to gain two extra stops, for anyone interested in the mechanics.

LSemmens - 6-5-2013 at 23:53

Thanks, RW, I'm interested. Daughter is bringing her old Digital SLR down for me when she arrives next week, and I hope to put it to good use. My last one one was one of the second model Pentax SLRs produced, (now you know how old I am :D)

Redwolf5150 - 12-5-2013 at 23:27

While all the area farmers have sheered their llamas, it's still too chilly at night to sheer the sheep.

[badimg]http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a224/redwolf5150/51713-1_0064Sheep_zps8773a133.jpg[/bad img]

BTW, can anyone tell me how many sheep are in this image? Every time I try to count them I fall asleep.

:D

Still no little ones climbing around yet on the nest right outside of town.

But it's only June and that nest could hide a baby elephant.

Water lilies are so beautiful.

Especially when you find them when you are not looking for them.

I was looking for trumpeter swans.

LSemmens - 13-8-2013 at 01:19

Canon 40D with 18-55 mm lens, ISO 1000 On a tripod with cable release.

Exposure TWO MINUTES at F 4.5

LSemmens - 14-8-2013 at 07:26

Thanks mate, I may try similar with my 1000D and the 55-250 lens that I have. When finances allow, I'll invest in a nifty 50 and a macro lens.
