March 4, 2013: "Salt Encrusted Bumper in Wisconsin"
My car is covered in salt/grime as well but the garage I usually do a hand wash in with water jets just installed a new system that costs 4x the price so the car will be dirtier a little longer.
I just liked the three bumper stickers.
Sign at the first gas station in Merrill if you are coming into town from the North on the snowmobile
It's probably the Koreans so they can make another propaganda film about hot snow meals.
I must have missed that piece of information in my "vast education" what might they be tapping, RW?
Open water is FINALLY coming to the Northwoods lakes

Although the slow thaw may delay Saturday's fishing opener.
Heard loons calling out in the fog. I will be back with a boat of some kind in a month or so.
There are loons? And maple syrup? Sounds like heaven.
Finished my first cup of coffee with this beauty this morning

The Great Blue Herons are back in their usual fishing spots.
We got very lucky on this last storm.
It stayed liquid here.
West side of the state got BURIED in snow!
Area rivers and streams starting to return to their normal levels

Tripod & release cable is a given, ISO of 100, Exposure of 1 second @ F22 and a polarizer to gain two extra stops, for anyone interested in the mechanics.
Thanks, RW, I'm interested. Daughter is bringing her old Digital SLR down for me when she arrives next week, and I hope to put it to good use. My last one one was one of the second model Pentax SLRs produced, (now you know how old I am )
What a beautiful place - it looks so serene.
End of an island in the middle of the Wisconsin River smack dab in the middle of Wausau, WI.
Up here, The Great Outdoors are Right Next Door.
While all the area farmers have sheered their llamas, it's still too chilly at night to sheer the sheep.
BTW, can anyone tell me how many sheep are in this image? Every time I try to count them I fall asleep.

Still no little ones climbing around yet on the nest right outside of town.
But it's only June and that nest could hide a baby elephant.
Let's hope it doesn't.
He's keeping an eye on those sheep......

"True are the Teachings of the True Guru. The body and mind are cooled and soothed, by the touchstone of Truth. This is the true mark of wisdom, that one remains detached, like the water-lily, or the lotus upon the water." ~ Granth Sahib
Water lilies are so beautiful.
They're hiding under the water lillies!

August 12, 2013: Perseid Meteor
Yoy got a scratch on your lens! Norty boy!!
Can we please have exposure details, I'd like to try and duplicate some of those types of shot myself.
Thanks mate, I may try similar with my 1000D and the 55-250 lens that I have. When finances allow, I'll invest in a nifty 50 and a macro lens.
