Excellent. Would look well over our fire place.
That is really lovely !
I should have given an explanation.
"The Golden Hour" for photographers is that time right around sunrise and sunset where the light is golden, red, orange, yellow, etc. For color landscape photography, especially in the winter, this is the prime time to be out making images.
All my images in this collection were taken right after dropping Jackie off at work. I than meander through the country on the way home. This being Wisconsin, LOTS of country roads with landscape possibilities. A few were taken near sunset, often while wandering home from somewhere.
Let's put it this way. It takes 20-25 minutes on average to drive from Merrill to Wausau on the expressway (unless it's foggy or snowy).
So far, I know NINE distinct ways home, none shorter than 45 minutes.
And I'm the type of guy who will drive down an unfamiliar road just to see what's on it.
Only gotten stuck in the snow once so far this winter.
*knocks on head*
Stay safe, Jamie.
Taken this morning literally right after Jackie got out of the van at work. I pulled forward 10 feet, got out, and got this shot.

Thank you Jackie for making Jamie take you to work!

Gotta fix the typo in the name.
Just in case you all thought I had shelved this project...

Taken just this evening.
Those are fabulous. I love the colours that dance in the sky at sunrise/sunset - nature is amazing.

Although taken over an hour after the traditional "Golden Hour" after sunrise, I still consider this one related to the rest because I got it on my way home from looking for golden hour shots.
Nice instance where my Uncle Sam paid for ability to read a map and envision what was there "in real life" made going down the dead end road this one was on worth it.
Great shot, pity about the footprints. Would have been good if the animal that made them were still there drinking.
As an aside, that looks almost like a shotgun on the bottom in the middle of the shot.
I think the footprints give it detail.

It being Good Friday and all, and Jackie always saying "we should start going to church again" I decided that I WOULD go to church this morning. Had the ENTIRE Dells of the Eau Claire Park to myself at 7:30 a.m. so I could worship in Tranquility.
