Yahoo Search in Firefox
Mick Johnson - 28-8-2008 at 21:37

I'm using Firefox and have always used 'Yahoo' to search, selecting it from the dropdown menu.

However I don't have the option anymore to select 'web' or 'pages from the UK' when searching.

How do I get it back?

I have a funny feeling this is so obvious..:D

Top RH corner of FF screen is the search bar. You have a dropdown list of search engines immediately to the left of the bar. If you click on that, you'll find Yahoo.co.uk as the second item. If you select that, then whatever you place in the search bar will be found using Yahoo.

I know where it is Leigh as I've always used it, but, I no longer have the options of 'web or 'pages from the UK' which I always seem to use.

I have them with Google but not Yahoo.

That is strange as FF3 gives me UK by default and I am in OZ. There may be summat on the mozilla site that tells you how to set the preferences.

I've got it on my main PC but not on the other one.

I'll have a look on Mozilla.
