Problem with Outlook Express

Just recently I have had quite a lot of Emails being reported back to me as being Unsuccessfully delivered.

In the main these were to my son in America, he checked his systems and confirmed that he could find no reason for this at his end.
It is now happening to fairly local email addresses in England.

The Message I recieve is;-

Queue out04-Winn, isp mail private ntl.com

2007. 12.45: 44+0000

Recieved from MTA: dns; 9amta out 01-win.ispmail.ntl.com
(81.103.221.35)

Final recipent RFC 822 (Email address) Action failed. Status 4.4.7 remote-MTA: dns (email address)

I have no idea what to do about this, can anybody help please

It sounds like one of the mail transfer agents (MTA) on the route cannot get an mx record ( mail delivery point ) for the email domain ( bit on the right of the @ sign ). It could be an intermittent failure of a name server or something. Difficult to say withouth seeing all the headers (mail source) which will indicate how far it got.

Theravad I dont know if this will help but a couple of emails were sent to Dot at Karlsforum.

Is there anyway I can get to se all the "headers".


I'm going to send some test emails to my son when he returns from holiday

Open email - file - properties - details - message source.
