The lady featured in Squirral piccies takes in lost or injured animals.

One day a friend brought her a newly born sqirrel to look after.

One of her dogs gave birth to a litter of puppies the following day, the little squirral quickly made itself at home in the puppy pit.

On day three Mum was encouraging "Finnigan" ( as he was now being called) to suckle along side her pups.

All now peaceably co-exist side by side.

( I think there may be a Christmas message here)?

Problem is, when squirrel grows up, who's going to tell him that he doesn't like to gnaw on bones?

Seriously, they are lovely shots, and it will be interesting to see some follow up info when squirrel is released back into the wild.

To be honest Leigh I think my friend Falling Leaf is now doubtful that Finnigan will ever leave for good, but she intends to make provision for him to come and go as he wants.

The progeny could well make vetenary history.
