Cliff Pods Motel

SkyLodge Adventure Suites/Natura Vive-Peru: "These incredible Skylodge Adventures Suites are precariously situated on the side of the cliff -- you can only get there after you climb 400 meters of the rock face or hike a challenging trail featuring a zip-line network."

Plenty of hits on uTube with more in depth explanations.

I wonder if parachutes are stocked in each pod?

I don't think a fire evac would work.

People certainly have some odd ideas.

Hang gliders?

Technical mountain climbing has been in existence for countless years. Some of the ascents/descents take more than a single day and a climber(s) will find themselves having to "camp out" on the side of mountain. Various techniques/gear have been developed over the years to sleep, literally, on the side of a vertical face. Light weight gear is of course the order of the day, along with some advanced level climbing skills/experience re securing oneself in such a situation. Bivouac gear is something that most people do not know even exists. The embedded pix is just one of many variations on a theme, and especially from a one size fits all perspectives will vary from climb to climb location (what is possible in a given location)/difficulty level/etc.,.

Technical mountain climbing has a certain call of the wild/return to nature appeal for some not the least of which is fitness that is way above average.

I'm sure that all the posters on this topic recognize just how unforgiving Nature can be for the ill advised/ill prepared/cheap thrill crowd.

Personally I would much rather take the stairs, but to each his own!
