marymary100 - 26-3-2016 at 15:09

1 - no central heating or hot water
2 - engineer comes out, replaces O-ring, installs filter
3 - circuit board goes
4 - orders part and makes arrangements to install on Tuesday
5 - ruins patio door by taking it off lower runner
6 - sorts patio door
7 - new leak springs up
8 - I want to scream

How's your day been?

When I hit a nail through one of our gas pipes... sigh... the repair guy have the decency to confess that he'd done the same thing, once, himself.

You have my sympathy mm, but to say OK to your question would be tempting providence at this time of night.

Oh dear...
Was the circuit board for the heating/hot water? Is it still not fixed?
Is the new leak radiator related?

The circuit board is inside the boiler so still no hot water or heating. The leak is also inside the boiler. Never buy a Baxi.

Do you go to a friends house for a shower?

marymary100 - 27-3-2016 at 09:51

There is a family home close by and a spa I am a member of if push comes to shove. Failing both of those, there is always the boiling up water routine beloved by our ancestors. ;)

I have washed my hair in cold shower few times, my head felt like icescared_stiff
Family's house and spa sounds better:D

I remember there were £1 shower at Waterloo station. Don't know if it's still there. I'm talking 20 years ago ;)

Did I tell you about our hot water system? It failed and, owing to bureaucracy, took six weeks to replace. I had cold showers for two weeks (it was summer) but God decided that we could have hot water until the old one was replaced. So... despite having a dead hot water service, it still produced hot water. :D
