Songs that make people cry

Some suggestions

When I was a child having a party piece when visiting the grandparents was expected. When I was about 5 I was forced to learn "I'm nobody's child" to perform which was fair enough until I burst into tears mid performance when the lyrics started making sense.

Has any song moved you to tears?

One from the original LiveAid comes to mind.

Cars - Who's gonna drive you home, tonight.

Whoever decided to play that, over a film of what was happening, in Ethiopia, deserves some serious credit.

Wot!

No "Old Shep"?

And what about Seasons in the Sun. Or the Birdie song?

Actually I've never watched that till just now. here I was in America when it was on and it wasn't broadcast for the whole thing.

I don't know how we got from "We need to do something to help" to "Not my problem" tbh.

I can't say that I'm moved to tears, but there is much moving music in the world and all of the above could be counted amongst them.

In some cases, of course, it's not the song, but the memories it evokes.
