Later when I get back from work I'll copy and paste the winning post in here and the winner can do the same next day and so on.
Please just post as normal in the other threads, rather than contriving to be interesting in here.
So, are all the posts that are to be judged for the title of "Most Interesting Post" have to be posted in this thread to be included?
Is there some sort of official appeals procedure, in the unlikely event that one of my many exceedingly interesting posts doesn't win?
No. The daily judge's decision is final.
Giron! Talk to the hand! That is your appeals process!

I am humbled beyond words. First it is an honor to be selected as interesting post of the day but even more humbled to have surpassed the might Giron, master of the interesting post.
Steady on, Delanti! You'll give him ideas above his station!
You obviously haven't been to Coventry station lately it wouldn't take much to rise above that.
With out a doubt this has to be the most interesting post today.
Thank you delanti. I'll look around and choose a new winner tomorrow.
Thank you Witched woman, it is always wise to be well informed when it comes to cookies! signed: Cookie monster
For a thread like this to work the people chosen need to be willing to choose the next winner.
Ah! So now we have rules? We thort it was you who would choose the most inneresting, O'Mary, but now we find that it is up to the Wicked Witch of the North! (Not really, DeWitch, I didn't really mean it, please don't turn me into a toad!)
sorry I missed this
have not been on the board much cuz have a big event to do for DeKidz
is this for an "original post" or does also apply to "replies"?
(getting the wand ready for Leigh's next response
Just don't forget who your friends are! Hint, hint!

I'll tell you what, there aren't many interesting posts today, I've only spotted one, so far.
I'm not too sure whether to wait until midnight ( GMT ) to declare the result, or just give up and do it now.
Is that Scholar and Obama?
You'll just have to wait and see, not long to go now.
Ooh yes! I'll second that.
Awww! Now you tell me! After I've read them all, I've got to go back and select one now. Back soon!
You will have to click on the link to find out!
Aren't I norty!!!
This thread doesn't seem to be very ' interesting ' , in fact it's ground to a halt!
I was under the impression it was the most interesting post of the day Leighs choice was dated the 11th.
I believe Nim needs to make the next choice.
I'll tell you what, if it wasn't for the fact that this is the season of goodwill, I'd have reported Nim to the Janitor!
How about - Giron's post on Health and Safety gone mad !
I found it interesting and funny .
Hang on a moment, that one's several weeks old!
Can't you select one of my more recent magnificently ' interesting ' posts?
Gosh, Thank You Will keep an eye out for today's post
Congratulations, young lady!
It has to Daz today,
Got to be this one, hasn't it....?!
MM, you're up.
And the winner is............
Sorry to be so late, been a busy day.
TodayI think it must go to waffler
Victor - Waffler seems to have missed your post.
Road hogs - and pigs might fly?
Thank you. I'll have a look around till the end of the night.

The winner is Victor.
Is this the one?
Where the devil is victor?
Think he must be the real Santa and gone home till next Christmas .
No the coffee would freeze
I hate cold coffee has to be hot black and no sugar
I like a bit of milk. Not too much. Same with tea.
So? Where's the most interesting post?
I reckon we got sidetracked
Come on Matilda, contact victor and get this thread moving again!
Thanks Victor, not much of a post but it was a milestone
Will look for the next winner
Way Hey Victor is back so all is
Winner is MaryMary100:
I'll have a look around later.
Has to be Leigh................ made one larf it did.....
Thanks, DW..... I think! I'll look back in 24 hours.
The 24 hours has well past, where the devil are you?
The future is bright, the future is Blue.
I think I preferred the purple.
Never mind about that, isn't it about time you got rid of your Christmas avatar?
Mind you, you're not the only one, I'll mention no names.
Over to you John
Where are you John?
I think he's still trying to clear the snow from his path.
Is it snowing where you are?
So, you're not in Grimsby, then?
It's probably best that you can't remember.
I only hope we haven't got any members that are from Grimsby, otherwise it's all going to kick off!
Damn! I'm a day behind.....
.........is it too late to nominate Nimuae?
Better late than never, John, perhaps, I should have hit you voer the head with it! That'll teach me to be so subtle! Good choice, anyway.
Bumpity Bump! Hint Hint, Nim!
Thank you Leigh I had missed it.
I nominate John Little for this one ...

Internet Fraud - Ish
It is interesting - but also scary !!
Even though it happened quite a few years ago.
In your own time, John, there's no need to rush.
Just ignore giron, John, there is no need to feel pressured by him, just HURRY UP, will you!
Maybe we should offer him some more!
Not a good idea, in any case, he's probably on the Gin by now.
Come on John, you should have sobered up by now!
He should have, but he probably hasn't!
Mind you, he hasn't got to get up for work in the morning, so who can blame him?
Sorry sorry sorry!
Went away for a long weekend!
What about Scholar for this one?
Good one !
That's why I do occasionally just post a smilie or a thank you. Not candidates for the most interesting post them selves but it shows that someone has read and enjoyed a post.
That was a good choice, John. TBH I had a quick look and went off to do something else and never got back to it. You should be encouraged, scholar, it's sad that an interesting topic, sometimes does not engender the hoped for response! Like my Tour down Under post, I'm very familiar with the stretch of roads that they raced upon today, and our little town was the end of the first sprint, it even made it to the news down here. I liked it, but that is all!
My choice is Faolan's post
It posts a link to "the Loch Ness Monster" in Brighton, which link also includes other interesting pictures.
So, S'gath, you will pick the next one.
Agreed, your turn SF!
Thank you, Dot.
Quaver's Post 'ere:
Faolan is Gaelic for wolf. The original was Sgáth Faol (Shadow Wolf), I've pretty much moved away from using Faolan as a fora name and instead use a variant of the company name but that'd be even more naughty using that here!
As they say:
Scottish by birth, British by law, Highlander by the grace of God.
Of course, SF, you should moderate yourself as the rules clearly state, "All posts shall be in English", and you are telling us that your name is
Gaelic! Norty boy!
(I can talk, as all my posts are in Australian!)
My posts are in Scot's English, but my name is Gaelic so within the rules
Mary on this blind musician and assisted suicide:
Thank you. I'll have a look around at the end of the day.
Both very good posts, Mary
I think Nim missed, that it became her turn next to pick the most interesting post.
(That required careful grammar. It's not "the next most interesting post." )
OK - sorry for the long delay folks - have been reading and re-reading through the recent posts and I nominate Marymary100 for "Wicked or ill?" as it was thought provoking and sparked off such a lively discussion !
Thanks. I'll have a look around till the end of the day.
That's a good post, I'd like to try making that rice too
C'mon BG, or I might have to share SWMBO's tuna mornay recipe!
Speaking of which, what has happened to that?
If BG doesn't want to do it, perhaps you would like to Leigh?
I'll second that.
There's been far too much faffing about on this, it's about time it moved on !
I'm on it!
Over to you, Mary
I'm glad it's finally been sorted out, long overdue.
Thanks Leigh. I'll look around before the end of the evening UK time.
Nimuae for her Mayonnaise Jar post and her poem "Today".
Over to you Nim.
OVER TO YOU NIM!
Maybe a U2U as a gentle prod.
Any news yet?
Would you like to borrow my hearing aids, Nim?
Ok. I'm on the case.
Ok. And the winner is..........................
Rest assured I'm on the case, I won't keep you waiting for days on end for a reply.
My choice is dtr204 for this
No reflection on him, I'm sure most of us have been in a similar situation, you start what should be a simple task and it all goes drastically wrong.
I think you'll need to U2U him then giron as he tends to stick to the "help" side of the forum.
I think it's best to wait and see what happens before contacting him via U2U.
If there's been no reply within a reasonable time, say 6 months, then he will need to be prompted.
Giron, I think the ball has gone into the weeds.
May I suggest selecting another one from among
my the best recent posts?
What are you on about now, Matilda, don't you know I'm totally innocent of any wrongdoing?
You ought to know by now, I've told you often enough.
Methinks thou doth protest too much...
You've just made that up, haven't you?
I bet nobody here has ever heard of that abbreviation before.
You read it here first, then...
Yes, but will it win the Most interesting post award ?
The acronym is fine but where is Scholar?
He'll be in the cold showers if he doesn't reply soon!
It's his own fault, I did warn him.
Still no reply from scholar, perhaps I should select someone else?
Third time lucky, it could be worth a try.
I choose the Bear's post in "Ruby and Scholar," in which he tells of his overwhelming love for Mrs. Bear.
I had trouble deciding between his, and Leigh's post about his own dear wife.
Choosing is easy Scholar, shut your eyes and stick a pin in the page!
What's this ' readers wives ' thingy all about then?
Well, scholar was inspired by Bear and Leigh's wives.
I don't know of any magazine about readers' wives.
But you would say that. Wouldn't you?
Why has the Bear not responded?
He's probably reading a magazine.
Come on Mr Bear! We're all agog here.
Never mind about that, will you be taking part if this interesting post competition?
That's assuming that Mr Bear ever makes his choice, of course.
Thank you, O Bear. I shall wait about a day and select the most interesting post, in my opinion, for that period.
Come on Scholar we're all waiting to see which post you select.
Regards the Bear
That's a jolly interesting post.
Perhaps if scholar stops perusing his Readers Wives magazine he might nominate it as a winner?
I found myself so busy and so tired yesterday that I did not manage to read all the posts, so I did not think it fair for me to choose from those I
had read (leaving the unread ones without any opportunity). I will read and choose yet tonight.
I was tired, because we Yankees set our clocks ahead one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, for Daylight Saving Time.
Here's a hint, Scholar. And don't attribute it to me as I shall deny all knowledge if the boys come looking. You can actually set your clock ahead
by one hour before you go to bed so that you can wake up at the correct time rather than waiting until 2AM to do it. I know that that
is cheating, but we won't tell. Of course if that is too complex, you can actually do it in the morning too, but that can cause all sorts of problems
if your appointment was at 0900 and you set your alarm for 0800 IYKWIM.
I'm always here to help!
Not that I've looked, giron. It's quite possible that it is available on line. Who would know about such things?
Scholar must have slept in. I thought he'd have adjusted his clock by now! Where are you, Scholar?
Don't forget that you're using a different time to what he is, so you'll probably be in bed before he wakes up.
Not that I'm suggesting that you go to bed with scholar, of course.
Daz is my choice for most interesting post. I am torn between his thoughtful thank-you to the Bear in the Late Night Club UK for some help the Bear
gave him, and the help Daz gave in the thread which requested direction in choosing a Slideshow application which could burn a slideshow onto a DVD.
(Daz is often one of the quickest to respond to requests for PC Help.)
But, do I really have to decide? In either case, Daz will choose the next "most interesting post."
You're it DAZ!
Yoo-hoo! Daz, it's your turn to choose a "most interesting post."
Sorry, never check this thread. Bit pointless IMO.
But anyway, I'll go for John Barnes politics thing from a few days ago.
I don't think John Barnes checks this thread either.
I nominate Matilda for this post.
If it was so interesting, Giron, why did you not contribute to the discussion?
ok then - giron for his most interesting post bump...
I nominate Leigh for this post.
To be fair, I'm not sure whether it's actually interesting or not, as I can't log in to Facebook, but Matilda seems to like it and that's good enough for me.
You'd better log in to find out!
Have you got a backdoor account and password I can use to view it?
Use your own!
I haven't got one, to be honest I can't see much point in it.
The account, or the back door?
BTW I nominate giron for entertaining us here about facebook!
There have been very few posts in the last 24 hours so the choice is rather limited, but I'll go for this post by
A very interesting post about the dangers of using washing up liquid.
I like it!
