Are Minis a common car down under?
Mr Swish and I play one of those daft motorway games on long journeys where we count Minis and have a bet on as to how many we will see when we spend two weeks there in the near future...
I'm not Australian, but you might e-mail this site and ask:
Or try the Australian part of this site:
I'm guessing it will depend partly on which part of Australia you are in.
I don't know about down under Swish but they are common over here in the US.
Not really "minis" though, any more. Are they? You couldn't park one of the new ones on your kitchen table. or drive through the Italian storm drains.
Yep, not as common as once they were! I used to drive one for work in the 1970s before their demise and ultimate rebirth. There are a lot of new minis on the road down here, but have moved into a niche market where you'd expect to find those with more money than cents! Not a cheap little run-around like they once were.
I remember that! Twas a good movie.
In the U.S., people aren't as mini as they used to be, either.
(says Scholar, who has just enjoyed an omellet he made for breakfast, with a berry snack pie for dessert).
Some people in the U.S. still favor companies that build in the U.S. Several companies that started overseas have helped their public image here by
building some of their cars here.
In the city where I go, I have seen two or three minis.
