I would suggest that no one ever forget about over the airwaves TV transmission possibilities. Whether that is worthwhile obviously depends on the your linear distance from any/all TV transmission channels/station broadcast towers in your area.

While a TV antenna on the roof is the best tech solution, there are on YouTube tutorial type videos to make your own antennas (rooftop or indoor type).

I happen to live about 60 miles as the crow flies from NYC, and its numerous TV channels; my olde (35 yrs olde) rooftop antenna gives me great HD TV. And yes I don't get anywhere near all the channels that I would if I paid for a cable/satellite TV service, but my option saves me a good deal of money.

I'm glad I asked.

I also appreciated the remarks about Rabbit TV. I think I have a Rabbit USB insert, that I haven't used yet.

I have been offered it, free, in an ad while I was about to watch a streaming video of a television program I had missed. It claims to be a means for finding and watching 4000 television programs.

I have not been much for going to individual sites (such as each television network's site) to get streaming programs. The few I have seen have been from links that are at a link-listing site my son found and uses.

"Television Fanatic" might be an easy way to watch programs. Or, it might weigh my system down. Or, there may be other problems with it.

Has anybody heard of it? Are there any informed opinions here?
